Welcome to Los Pelicanos Hotel Inn-Restaurante

Los Pelicanos Hotel Inn-Restaurante stands as a charming coastal retreat in the heart of Playas de Rosarito, Baja California. Rated 4.4 stars, this boutique hotel embraces simplicity and authenticity, offering guests a genuine beachfront experience mere steps from the Pacific Ocean. Its prime location on Del Cedro #115 makes it an ideal spot for travelers seeking to immerse themselves in Rosarito’s vibrant beach culture while enjoying modern comforts.

The hotel’s atmosphere blends rustic charm with family-friendly warmth. Visitors praise the welcoming environment, making it a preferred choice for multiple generations—from children to grandparents—looking to reconnect with loved ones against the backdrop of stunning ocean views. Guests emphasize the value of upgrading to an ocean-view room, highlighting improved airflow and natural lighting that enrich the stay.

Culinary offerings at the on-site restaurant capture the essence of Baja’s flavors. Patrons consistently commend the authentic, homemade flour tortillas and diverse menu options, suitable for groups large and small. The food strikes a fine balance between quality and price, with average meals costing around $20 per person—making it an accessible indulgence in a tourist hotspot. Signature drinks, such as the Piña Colada, add to the vibrant dining experience, though some note that service can be delayed during peak hours.

While the hotel eschews modern air conditioning in favor of fans—a nod perhaps to the inviting local climate—some guests find this trade-off signals both intimacy and limitation. Nighttime warmth encourages light bedding, and while minor hiccups like plumbing issues have been reported, the overall service maintains a friendly, if occasionally slow, pace. The complimentary amenities, featuring free Wi-Fi, parking, an outdoor pool with a hot tub, and beach access, complement a relaxed, easy-going stay.

Los Pelicanos strikes a balance between modesty and memorable charm. It does not boast luxury flourishes, but delivers consistently on genuine service, authentic cuisine, and unparalleled seaside views. For families, couples, or solo travelers yearning for a simple, heartfelt Baja experience—where the ocean calls and the tortillas taste like home—Los Pelicanos Hotel Inn-Restaurante remains a beloved destination that leaves a warm, lasting impression.

We ate at the restaurant. We came for breakfast. A group of 11. We all had something different. It was all good . Prices averaged about $20 per person.

This is a Great hotel, right by the beach. The only bad thing is the restaurant takes forever to serve meals and there is no air conditioner. You just have a fan. I suppose the weather is good. But at night. You just sleep without a blanket because it’s hot. Then our toilet got clogged, and they made a big stink about not being able to help us. I had to grab a bucket, fill it with water in the shower, and then it was the trashcan and I filled it up with water, and then I was able to somebody came and clogged our toilet. We don’t know who, but anyway, I fixed the toilet by myself by flushing tons of water down, but it’s stink like hell and we had to open all the windows is disgusting with no support from the hotel, so the service is kinda like hit or miss. The location is to die for. And it’s super safe. They’re very tough about security. If you’re not staying there. And you have no wristband. You’re not allowed to hang out in the hotel. The security is very strict. I love it.

A cute spot to get away and enjoy a view. There are two view options: Ocean View and Non-Ocean View… pay the extra for the Ocean View; you get better airflow and lighting. The restaurant attached is surprisingly good and average price considering the touristy area and is accessible from the 2nd floor (you gotta try their Piña Colada). Pool/Jacuzzi is good but no pool bar staffing gave this hotel a 3/5 on service availability. There is a Spa on the property but not ran by the hotel staff. No A/C, but fan is provided; weather was excellent and we slept with the windows open. I believe this hotel has the potential to offer more amenities given the location. Otherwise this is a spot I’d consider coming to again for a quick weekend getaway.

This is our favorite hotel hands down in Rosarito. Its family friendly or if you want to stay with friends or a loved one. The hotel is right on the beach..so convent. There's a restaurant, and the food is delicious. Good service. I do wish you could reserve online but you have to call. Sometimes it takes a while to get ahold of front desk. They will call you to verify your reservation a couple days before which I like that detail. Theres some cute hammocks over seeing the beach. Its so relaxing!
